We finished our 25th round of competitive games last night and campers enjoyed refreshing Kona Ice to end the evening. UVA headed to a campfire by the lake and the rest of the teams walked up the long hill one last time to shower and participate in team meetings.  The phrase of the day was “Growth Mindset.” The power of the word “yet,” in other words instead of a player saying to himself, “I am not a good lacrosse player,” using the language “I am not the lacrosse player I want to be...yet.” Coach Braswell talked on the steps about having a game plan to improve and putting the time and effort into that plan.  We saw the growth mindset demonstrated in close games and teams pushing themselves until the last minute. Counselors have awarded many campers with wristbands for doing the hard right, showing resilience during competitions, and being an outstanding team player. For more pictures from 6/24 click here
