Our first full day of Sports Camp is complete: sun, competitive games, snacks, fellowship, age group games with counselors, and Kona Ice, what a way to kick off the week. At our all camp meeting we honored a Camper of the Day for his mental toughness and competitive spirit demonstrated by not giving up in a dodgeball scrimmage on Sunday  After canteen, campers broke away from their Sports Camp teams and played ultimate, tchoukball, wiffle ball, and kickball with new campers in their age group. They stayed with that group and enjoyed clinics in tennis, golf, speed training, and climbing. The afternoon schedule was interrupted with a thunderstorm so Assistant Directors bused our campers to dinner.  With more unpredictable weather moving in, campers played Round 5 indoors after the camp meeting. The day concluded with Kona Ice and a beautiful sunset. Notre Dame roasted marshmallows at a campfire by Robinson lake. All teams met and discussed the events of the day. Each team decided which three core values they wanted to focus on as a team and posted them in their meeting area.  With so many activities, campers are engaging with one another, reconnecting with former friends, and laying the foundation for some new friendships.
